next step was to add materials to my whale, i did this by using photoshop and creating a whale skin effect, like this.









as all blue whales have wrinkles on its bottom jaw, i needed another material to do this, origonally i tried doing this with the whale as it was, but had problems doing so.

so i copied the whale, increased the scale slightly and squashed everything except the jaw, once i did this, i put the new modal back, over-laping the old whale, this gave it a jaw, i then added this material to the jaw.
